I am Associate Professor in Public Economics at Università Bocconi, Milano and CESifo Research Fellow. Since 2009 I am also a fellow of the Dondena Research Centre on Social Dynamics and Luca D'Agliano Research Fellow.

I was an undergraduate at Bocconi and then moved to Oxford where I received my D.Phil in Economics in 2000.

Since January 2008 I am the Director of Econpubblica, Center of research on the economics of the public sector here at Bocconi.
